This style of work focuses partly on harmonizing different materials as I paint unfinished portraits of women on layered maps - particularly maps of famous or touristic cities. The strong pieces also bring awareness to the experiences faced by women as they walk the streets of cities at home or abroad. A woman can travel, a woman can work abroad, and a woman can live alone.
